Men's Adventure Recap

Last weekend marked the second annual Men's Adventure Weekend. Twenty men from New Covenant had the opportunity to experience God in a unique setting far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The group departed from church Friday afternoon and traveled to Cross Point Camp at Lake Texoma. After enjoying a meal together, we settled down to the first session of "Chasing Daylight", a curriculum developed by Erwin McManus based on his book of the same name.

Saturday morning came early as some guys went off to fish, golf or to partake in a ropes course. The day was packed with opportunities for guys to get to know each other and enjoy the great outdoors God has given us.

That evening, we gathered around a huge campfire where the Dutch Oven doctors, Danny Smith and Tim Jorgensen prepared an awesome meal that will be talked about for decades.

We concluded Saturday evening with a wrap-up of the curriculum which evolved into a very interesting discussion about our faith and responsibilities as spiritual leaders of our families.

O
n Sunday morning we gathered at the lakeside cross where we had our communion service overlooking beautiful Lake Texoma.

Twenty guys took advantage of this opportunity and expressed an overwhelming interest in Men's Adventure  Weekend lll next year. This annual event is growing and we hope to have at least 30 guys next year. Click on the  photos and enjoy!
