The checks are pouring in. Taxpayers are receiving their “Economic Stimulus” refunds and folks are going crazy with their instant cash. So, what will it be?  A new HDTV set?  A barbeque grill?  Perhaps you’ll spend your big check on some new chrome wheels for your SUV or maybe those new Pings.

Did you know that these things will all rust away and vanish in time? In the grand scheme of things, they are less significant than building God's mighty Kingdom. What will endure for eternity are the lives we bring to Christ as a result of effective ministry here at New Covenant.  Your first fruits or tithes from this windfall will help fortify and strengthen the work of the Church.  Just ten percent of your economic stimulus “mad money” will highly impact ministry here and help relieve present financial pressures.

How about going one step further by passing on half of this windfall or even the entire  amount to your church?  Can you imagine the tremendous impact this would have on the Kingdom?  Can you envision what a huge and immediate benefit this would be to the ministries at your church? 

God gives us divine moments and opportunities all throughout our lives - moments that we can acknowledge and use for His glory. This is one of those moments. Just write, Kingdom Stimulus Package on the memo line of your check.

Take a few minutes during your daily prayer time to ask God, our great Provider what you should do with this money. The answer will be clearly revealed to you.  It‘s an excellent opportunity to stimulate ministry here at New Covenant and to grow the Kingdom!
