Letter from Bruce and Deborah Warren, missionaries in the UK

Dear Missions Group and New Covenant Church –

We received a lovely and encouraging e-mail from JoAnn Simpson-Miller this morning. Thank you all so much for praying for us and financially partnering with us in our work here. We cannot adequately express how much a simple communication from home means to us. We could never fully understand until we got here & began facing the incredible joys & trials of cross-cultural work.

There is not a day that goes by that we don’t thank God for our dedicated team of partners at home, doing this work with us. We realize that we are only “the faces” of the team that God has put together for this part of His work…the rest of the “body” supporting us is back home. You may not realize how important & valuable you are to the ones with whom we work. Your sacrificial giving got us here & keeps us here. It keeps us in the “now” and in the future hope of what lies ahead. One of the European directors of World Outreach has called Bradford (our city and new “hometown”) every bit as much of a “frontier” area as any other Muslim area. With its high Muslim & Hindu population, it’s often hard to remember it’s a “Western” city.

We were very aware of when the youth building/Chinese church at New Covenant were on fire. A friend e-mailed us immediately as it was happening. We were very concerned, praying as it unfolded. Our relief in knowing no one was hurt was immense. That building is special to us for two reasons. We were married there, and you allowed us to use it for the Perspectives ministry/course. There are now several workers “on field” from that 2005 class! We hope you take great delight in the fact that your hearts & actions are making a huge impact globally! Your love & hospitality are making an impact that you don’t yet see, but are accrued to your heavenly account!

Thank you for remembering us…and our workers…in your prayers and with your financial giving. Your partnership strengthens us more than you know. New Covenant people are so dear to us. Thank you for your generous hearts and for being people who love the nations.
