Colossians 4:5-6. The art of seasoning is a matter of balance. Just enough salt to notice, but not too much to overwhelm. As Christians, we sprinkle the salt of God’s grace and gospel into our daily conversations. We don’t want to saturate our conversations to the point that we drive others away, so we want to rely on God and His grace to come into these conversations in such a way that it will create a thirst, a desire to know more of Jesus. Be the salt of the earth!
Tuesday, May 6
Isaiah 6:1-7. We are not told if Isaiah’s encounter with God was a vision or if it was a physical experience. Either way, this experience was real! This encounter changes Isaiah forever; his day-to-day living is transformed by the power and grace of God. Today, ask God to reveal to you a similar encounter, one that will change you from the inside out.
Wednesday, May 7
2 Corinthians 12:1-10. In this passage Paul attempts to describe his own encounter with God. Not only was his life changed that day, but after 14 years the mystery and influence of this experience hadn’t left him. His experience brought him a deeper relationship with God and a passion to serve Him. How about you? In your day-to-day living, make God a priority and watch your life transform. His grace is sufficient.
Thursday, May 8
Ephesians 2:1-10. Paul reminds the Ephesians that they were once spiritually dead then he celebrates with them the life they’ve found in Christ. It’s important for all believers to be reminded of what we’ve been given; we’ve received the gift of life. When we walk with that awareness, we turn our hearts more fully toward Him everyday. Celebrate your gift of life!
Friday, May 9
Galatians 2:20-21. When Jesus died on the cross, he died for our sins, so in a sense, we died with Him. It’s hard to imagine standing before Jesus at the cross and handing Him each one of our sins to bear for us, but in essence that’s exactly what He did…and remember that when He gave His life, He did it willingly and lovingly for you. Thank Jesus today for His sacrifice and for His grace. He loves you immensely!
